We are supposed to have a storm tomorrow . . .

Just like the one we had last week . . .
This is Craig snow blowing the drive way after he had already done it a few hours ago. Since we live on the East Bench (right where the mountain starts) we get a lot more snow than they do in the valley. We got about 15 inches! Lucky us!
I just love it when my car looks like this! This isn't my car, but it could very well be!

And the week before that . . .

And the week before that . . .
Which caused trees to fall over (see below) and caused us to have no power for a day!

Waaaaaaaaaaaa . . . I miss California and the beach and warm weather . . .waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa (I just need to whine to someone else besides my husband for a little while . . . I really am trying to be more positive, it's just so hard)!

Cons and pros (see, trying to be positive) about living where it snows . . .
cons:
looking for a school very early in the morning where I will be subbing and have never been before. The only problem is, I can't tell which street I'm on because the street signs are covered with snow!

Walking out to my car, while holding Ambree, slipping on ice and falling right on my butt!

Driving very carefully in the snow while listening to the radio about 100 cars that have slid off the road in the last hour due to bad weather conditions . . . that's encouraging!

Spending 3 hours on Saturday morning watching my husband shovel the drive way over and over again while I take care of the kids inside . . . poor guy!

Having a very limited choice of things to do to entertain the kids . . . due to the cold weather.

Having cold feet all the time! I really need a pair of warm boots!

Having to scrape ice off the windshield of the car while freezing and running late! Can't wait to have a garage someday!

Pros:

It's pretty to look at!

It's fun to play in for a little while!

It will be fun to snowboard in . . . when we have more money!

I have a good excuse not to go anywhere!

When I get down about not living in California anymore, I just remind myself about all of the things that I don't miss and then I don't feel quite so bad, I tell myself that anyway . . . positive thoughts . . . positive thoughts!

Things I don't miss:

Excessive Traffic!

Earthquakes . . . I know they could happen here too, but it isn't quite as common!

Smog!

Homes that cost twice as much in Calif. as they would in Utah!

Thanks for listening to me whine!!

Directions for making hairbows!

I found a great site that gives free directions for making all sorts of cute and unique hairbows! It gives step by step instructions that seem pretty easy to follow! I'm excited to make some of the bows and thought I'd share the link with those of you who like to make bows, or want to learn! The link is on the right side of my blog where it says, "Make your own hairbows!" Have fun and let me know if you make any and how they turned out!

Gradually figuring out this digital scrapbooking thing . . . still have a long ways to go!

Can anyone tell me how to make my blog band width wider? Mine seems a lot narrower than other peoples!

Reason 593 why we really need to put locks on the cupboards around this house!

When Craig found Cade like this (notice the big bucket of flour in the cupboard) he asked him what he was doing and in a very innocent voice and very matter of factly, Cade said, "I'm making pancakes!"
Good luck making pancakes with just flour! Maybe if your mom was more on top of things she would have given you some breakfast and you wouldn't have had to try to get some yourself!
He got out the bowls, and the measuring spoon all by himself and was so proud!
Notice the lovely flour all over his pajamas and the floor by the cupboard . . . note to self, never store flour down low in a big container like that!

Christmas Catch Up #4 (Nativity Bloopers)

Since 1993 Craig's family on the Clegg side (his mom's maiden name) has done "The Nativity Scene" at their family Christmas party and all the kids and some adults (if needed) GET to participate! Doesn't Craig look like he is having the time of his life?!
Growing up, we never did this! Craig just takes this tradition for granted! The only time (before I married Craig) that I remember taking part in "The Nativity Scene" was when I was a missionary in the MTC . . . I got to be Baby Jesus! Wasn't I cute?! This year I got to be Mary (which I think is a lot more fitting, what do you think)? Craig GOT to be Joseph again and our kids got to participate too! I'm sure this will be a tradition they will remember and love for a long time! Especially the pictures we will capture for years to come!

Smile for the camera! Alright, we got Angel Ambree!

Let's try this again . . . maybe we could get a shot with both of you looking at the camera! Alright . . . we got Shepherd Boy Cade now!
Now let's really try hard to get a good one of BOTH of you looking and smiling . . . come on . . . do it for mama! Uhhh, not exactly what I had in mind! I guess pictures with one of them looking and smiling are better than all of them looking like this one!Hey Shepherd boy . . . I don't think you are supposed to be eating that frankincense, gold, myrrh, or whatever that is!
More Nativity fun . . .2007!
