no internet yet!

We don't have internet hooked up in our new home, so I am having internet withdrawls! Luckily I am at my inlaws right now and they have it! Yay! We are finally settled into our new home. Just a few more boxes to unpack and then decorating. That's the fun part! Of course it would be more fun with unlimited funds, but I'm not complaining, because I have a garage and a basement and three rooms, and my own home! We have met a few people in the neighborhood that seem really nice, and we are looking forward to meeting more and learning our way around the town a little better! Hopefully soon I'll have internet and I'll be able to do a post that is a little more interesting with PICTURES of something! I hope you are all doing well.

Our last week living with Craig's parents . . .

This is a picture from Monday morning . . . . APRIL 7th!! And yes, I had to drive to work in it! Luckily the school wasn't too far away. I remember at the beginning of March we had a few nice weather days and I thought it was the end of snow until next year, and I thought, OK I think I might be able to handle 3 months out of the year of snow and cold. I was sooooooo wrong. It has now been 5 months and apparently it sometimes even snows in may. Oh, and in JULY!! Yes, it is true . . . it has been known to snow here in July. Wish me luck!

Good news of the week . . . Cade finally pooped in the toilet for the first time in like 7 months! Soooo, we had a poo poo party! Do you like the "poo" inspired candy for dessert?! I am so cleaver. . . LOL!
Will Cade ever tire of these toys? He LOVES them! I think he might choose them over me if he had the choice!

Cade has been quite the climber this week, which is not very characteristic of him. Maybe he is just getting more brave as he gets older . . . he climbed into the sink in the bathroom and . . .

On top of the shed in my in laws backyard!! He must have climbed up the fence near the shed and then onto the shed. . . I'm not quite sure, but this is where we found him!

I LOVE Dora!! She is my babysitter all the time . . . uhh, I mean, every once in a while. I thought this was sweet of Cade and Ambree watching TV. Cade fell asleep and Ambree was leaning her head against his. . . awww!Ambree loves all the fun toys at grandma and grandpa's house! Apparently she thinks she is a baby and likes to climb into the doll crib. I don't know what she is going to do when we move and she doesn't have all of these toys to play with everyday that she has become so attached to. Luckily she has a birthday coming up!

OK . . . now it is on to packing for our move on Saturday. I am excited to have our own home, but not looking forward to our 7th move since we've been married for a little less than 5 years! Luckily this time we have most of our stuff still packed up in storage, which will make things a little easier. Hopefully this will be our last move for a while!! Wish us luck!

Q- Quote? “To be a righteous woman is a glorious thing in any age. To be a righteous woman during the winding up scenes on this earth, before the second coming of our savior, is an especially noble calling.
The righteous woman’s strength and influence today can be tenfold what it might be in more tranquil times.
Other institutions in society may falter an even fail, but the righteous woman can help save the home which may be the last and only sanctuary some mortals know in the midst of storm and strife.”

April Fools Day!

Growing up, we never did much for April Fools Day. Just the occasional, "there's a spider on your head" comment, or something similar. This month in the Family Fun magazine I noticed this Shepherd's Pie, that looks a lot like choc. pie, with strawberry cream on top! It is actually a meat mixture with seasonings, BBQ sauce, onions, etc. and the top is mashed potatoes, colored with blended up beets (I'm sure you could use food coloring instead). Anyway, since I was in charge of dinner on April Fools Day, I decided to make this. Initially I think people were a little confused, but they seemed to catch on. Cade on the other hand really thought we were having choc./strawberry pie for dinner (he obviously doesn't know me that well). He took one bite, spit it out and said, "this isn't pie." We all laughed, but he didn't think it was funny at all and refused to eat any of it! Normally, if it was just white potatoes on top, I'm sure he would have. Later that night, Craig and I had a BYU-Idaho Alumni meeting at Marie Calenders and Craig had the idea to get Cade a real piece of Strawberry Cream pie. I gave it to Cade the next day and he liked it much better than my April Fools Pie . . . surprise, surprise! Oh, I also made "chicken nuggets" that were actually slices of bananas with peanut butter spread around them and rolled into graham cracker crumbs. Cade thought these were really chicken nuggets too, but when he found out they weren't really he still ate them! Did anyone else do any fun tricks, etc. for April Fools Day?
